RSVP's Readers Vote the Brewery Number 1

02/12/2005

The Brewery staked its claim as ‘The UK’s favourite place to party’ at last night’s high profile RSVP Magazine ‘Top twenty party venues’.

Voted for by RSVP’s discerning readership made up of over 10,000 corporate and agency buyers of events and hospitality, the Brewery beat off stiff competition from the UK’s most prestigious venues including world renowned destinations Madame Tussauds, The Natural History Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum.

Voting for RSVP’s Top 20 took place over a four-week period and saw leading FTSE 100 companies (including Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Diageo) along with major live event and production companies vote for their top 5 venues.

Playing host to A-list celebrities throughout 2005 (including Hugh Grant, Jerry Hall and Juliet Lewis) the event spaces at the Brewery have taken on many guises over the year - from a supermodel catwalk for Channel 5’s ‘Search for a Super Model’ live televised final, a gracious ballroom for Tommy’s annual fundraiser, gothic chic for the Kerrang! Awards and even a verdant rainforest for Costa Coffee’s annual awards dinner.

Gaining popularity from 6th place last year, the Brewery knocked Madame Tussauds off the top spot to be crowned RSVP’s Number 1 venue.

Claire Lawson, General Manager said: “2005 has been quite a year and all the hard work that we have put in as a team has quite clearly paid off. This award is true testament to the fact that service is the key diffentiator in a venue. We have worked tirelessly to ensure that our service proposition supersedes clients’ expectations. Our repeat business is one measure of this and achieving RSVP’s number one spot is further testament. Thank you to all of our supporters.”
