On Friday 3rd June 2005 Earls Court & Olympia London (EC&O) helped four lucky young ladies meet girl group Destiny’s Child when they were performing at Earls Court London. EC&O was approached by charity Rays of Sunshine who make ‘wishes’ come true for children with life threatening and serious illnesses. Rays of Sunshine asked the venue to help a girl named Nicole Osel Onusu whose dream was to see Destiny’s Child in concert. Nicole, her mum and three friends were treated to VIP status on the night which included travelling in a limousine, meeting the band, a meal at Pizza Express and a bag full of Destiny’s Child goodies.
Melissa Vandermolen from Rays of Sunshine said: “I’m ever so grateful to everyone at EC&O who helped make this happen. The gift of tickets and the VIP package for the Destiny’s Child concert really gave Nicole something to look forward to and really lifted her spirits for a long time. The girls had a wonderful time and meeting the band was particularly special and a great surprise.”
