As part of the continual improvement to its facilities, EC&O Venues is to invest around £300,000 in upgrading the Olympia Conference Centre. The refurbishment project has been scheduled to give minimal disruption to events and will be completed by mid September.
Olympia Conference Centre Manager, Francine Burton, said; “The Olympia Conference Centre is ideally suited to meet the needs of the growing trend for conference led exhibitions, of which we are hosting an increasing number. Therefore, it is vital we keep our facilities functioning smoothly as well as offering a comfortable and inspiring environment for visitors. This investment ensures that we continue to provide our customers with the outstanding level of service they are accustomed to.”
As part of the programme of works, the Conference Centre foyer will be given a face-lift with a new reception desk, carpet, lighting and décor. The visitor toilets will be improved by a major upgrade of the décor and facilities and an increase in the number of ladies’ toilets. The project also includes an upgrade to the lifts, which will result in improved efficiency of the lift service up to the Conference Centre.
The purpose-built Olympia Conference Centre offers exclusive use and a variety of spaces to suit any type or size of conference, training seminar, meeting, banquet, award ceremony, small exhibition or product launch accommodating between 50 and 700 people. The venue includes a tiered, theatre style 449 seat auditorium, two conference rooms, five seminar rooms, and a spacious, contemporary reception area ideal for networking. The adjacent East Hall offers 988m2 of space suitable for small exhibitions.
