To celebrate its fifth birthday, Storage Expo had its busiest ever show at Olympia with a staggering 15% increase in visitors with over 3,800 people attending than the 2004 event and 129 exhibitors. The event took place on 18 & 19 October and is the UK’s only dedicated data storage event.
Claire Sellick, Exhibition Director of Storage Expo said; “Storage continues to be a key issue for IT professionals with more and more companies needing to archive ever increasing amounts of digital information. The 15% increase in visitor numbers at the show is indicative of the growth of vertical IT shows that deliver comprehensive solutions in a constantly changing environment. We believe the growth in visitor numbers can be put down to an excellent team, a good understanding of the market and a fabulous central London venue.”
A first for 2005 was the Documation UK event which featured within the show and focused on the latest solutions and technology for efficient and effective information, content and document management. The whole event not only provided end users with the opportunity to assess the latest products and services from major suppliers in a face-to-face environment, but offered an informative education programme which featured business and technical seminars, case studies and keynotes. The success of the ‘soft launch’ of Documation UK this year has led to it being launched next year as a stand-alone event co-located with Storage Expo in Olympia Two.
Jeremy Rees, Exhibition Sales Director at EC&O added; “Since its move to Olympia from the NEC three years ago, the show has gone from strength to strength. It’s a phenomenal example of customer success in a very challenging market place. ”
