EC&O Venues has hosted six new events in just three weeks at Earls Court and Olympia. Attracted by the venues’ premier location in the heart of London, along with the flexible space on offer and industry leading customer service, three new trade and two new consumer shows have successfully been launched and one other trade exhibition has moved from another venue. Future Build, Regenex and Ecobuild co-located in Earls Court Two on 22-23 February.
Organised by International Business Events (IBE) the complementary events allowed visitors to see three exhibitions of interest under one roof over two days. Additionally each event ran a dedicated conference in purpose-built theatres on the show floor, used six specially constructed seminar theatres and three of Earls Court’s seminar rooms, making 12 sessions running simultaneously - a first for the venue. The exhibitions were highly successful and in 2007 will open for three days from 27 Feb – 1 March.
One Life Live was launched in Olympia’s Grand Hall from 3-5 March. The new lifestyle event appealed to visitors with dreams of pursuing a new professional or personal goal. The customer service, venue and marketing teams at Olympia worked closely with the event organisers to ensure the new idea was a success.
Now in its fifth year, Sounds Expo, the UK's only event for the music technology and sound recording industry had its most successful year so far, with organiser VCM reporting a 15% increase in visitor numbers. The event moved from the Wembley Conference Centre to Olympia Two on 9-11 March. The venue offered the event flexible space and a prime London location.
Zee Carnival, a new show presented by Zee Network, the global Asian entertainment giant came to Olympia’s Grand Hall from 10-12 March. The event showcased top celebrities from the world of Bollywood and the UK, and the organisers predicted large crowds of visitors. Therefore, Olympia’s staff worked closely with the organisers to ensure every visitor had a safe and enjoyable experience.
