EC&O Venues has been recognised for its continued support of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at a lunch at Buckingham Palace attended by His Royal Highness, The Earl of Wessex KCVO on 6th April 2006. In 2005 EC&O became Silver members of the scheme through a donation to The Award - a substantial percentage of which went directly towards an expedition for 12 young people from the Royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Representing EC&O Venues on the day was Chief Operating Officer Simon Conway, who commented: “We are delighted to be recognised in this way, and proud to support such a worthwhile cause which changes the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people across the country.”
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award gives young people aged between 14 and 25, whether able-bodied or with special needs, opportunities to experience, challenge and acquire new skills and make new friends
