During the first three months of 2006, EC&O Venues welcomed the world to its two central London venues, Earls Court and Olympia. The venues’ flexible space held events representing Africa and Australasia, Europe and the Americas capturing the nation’s interest in travel and foreign lifestyles.
Zee Carnival, a launch event held at Olympia, entertained visitors with the sights, sounds and stars of Bollywood, closely followed by La Dolce Vita giving a taste of the Italian good life. Francophiles experienced a taste of France in the heart of London at Vive La France and its European neighbour Spain came to town with Viva Espana providing a sample of Spanish food and lifestyle, both traditional and modern.
The success of the Daily Telegraph Adventure Travel & Sports Show and The Times presents Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show proved that Brits really are smitten with travel, adventure and bespoke trips. The two events brought together almost every country in the world to provide inspiration for those who like the discovery of new and exciting destinations or an alternative to the traditional package holiday.
