Following a successful Discover Dogs 2006 at Earls Court, the Kennel Club has announced that the central London venue is to be the long-term home for the show. 26,000 canine enthusiasts, an increase of 2,000 on last year, flocked to Earls Court Two on 11 and 12 November to watch dog competitions and displays as well as discover more about a variety of breeds.
The Kennel Club’s flagship London event, which has taken place at Earls Court for the last ten years, has made a long-term commitment to hold the event at the central London venue. The venue’s excellent transport links, which make it easy for visitors to get to the event, and the variety of flexible spaces were key factors in the Kennel Club’s decision.
Jeremy Rees, Exhibition Sales Director, EC&O Venues said:
“Over the last ten years, Discover Dogs has gone from strength to strength, capturing the Capital’s passion for dogs. It’s always an exciting and busy show and I look forward to working with the Kennel Club on future plans for the event.”
Vanessa McAlpine, Events and Education Executive at the Kennel Club said:
“This year’s event was an amazing success for us, and was critical in our decision to continue to hold Discover Dogs at Earls Court. Earls Court Two’s large, flat floor space and the outstanding customer service that we receive are real assets to the event. Coordinating around 5,000 dogs and their owners over two days is made so much easier with the professionalism and support of the Earls Court team.”
Next year’s Discover Dogs in London takes place at Earls Court Two on 10 and 11 November 2007.
