Top Drawer Spring once again returned to Earls Court One in January and proved to be a successful and stunning show. As the first gift, jewellery and fashion accessory show of the 2006, the event attracted over 10,000 visitors to Earls Court with many coming through the doors more than once, keen to discover fresh talent, innovative products and the forthcoming trends of the season.
There was an impressive amount of new products and innovations on show and sales were strong for exhibitors. Visitors were delighted by a fabulously designed show as Earls Court was filled with an array of romantic pink and red spring flowers created by show designer Justin Southgate. The unique design of the event demonstrated how Earls Court can be transformed into an inspirational environment for visitors.
Despite some recent pessimism in the retail industry the Clarion Retail show saw an impressive 5% increase in the number of visitors from last year and there was a feeling of optimism at Earls Court during the three day event.
"Much to the relief of all of us in this industry, this so-called 'retail Armageddon' failed to emerge. As a result, Top Drawer Spring, the first trade show of the year, had a buzzy atmosphere with exhibitors reporting good sales. This signifies a renewed optimism in the marketplace and a positive start to 2006," said Andy Baxter, Director, Clarion Retail.
Jeremy Rees, Exhibition Sales Director, EC&O Venues, said; “Top Drawer is a unique and inspirational event and we are proud to host the show. We are looking forward to hosting, the autumn version of the show in Olympia’s Grand Hall on 10-12 September.”
Visitors can expect another fabulous looking and inspiring show at Earls Court as it gears up for Pulse, London's major international design-led home accessories and gift show, which returns to the venue from 21-24 May, 2006. Pulse is the essential event for buyers, designers and retailers who want to discover the very latest products and trends for autumn/winter 2006.
