EC&O Venues has been awarded the prestigious Park Mark safer parking award for its car parks for the second year running. Park Mark, awarded by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), is in recognition of the venues’ commitment to safer and non-threatening parking for all its exhibitors and visitors and for zero reported vehicle crimes in its car parks. The Park Mark is the emblem of the Safer Parking Scheme, an initiative of the ACPO, which is aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities and is awarded to car parks that have achieved the requirements of an assessment conducted by the Police. The Seagrave Road, Blue and Red car parks at Earls Court and Olympia’s multi-storey car park have all been recognised with the award.
Rachel Parker, Customer Services Director, Earls Court said:
“Nearly 300,000 vehicles a year safely park in the Earl Court and Olympia car parks and we have invested in many measures that help deter criminal activity, such as state-of-the-art traffic management systems, CCTV, improved lighting and signage. This award is really a tribute to the teams who work in all our car parks. Their commitment to operating safe and secure facilities is only matched by their commitment to customer service.”
The scheme is managed by the British Parking Association on behalf of ACPO and is supported by the Home Office and Scottish Executive.
