The first event to make use of this new hall is “Bodies The Exhibition”, a human anatomy exhibition which opens to the public on Saturday 12 April, 2006. Its huge success in the USA seems certain to be replicated in the UK; over two million people visited the US’s busiest exhibition in Tampa, Florida and New York. Hosting a long-running event such as this is a first for EC&O Venues and is a direct result of the Group’s investment in innovative solutions that meet customers’ requirements and wider market needs.
Nigel Nathan, EC&O Venues Group Commercial Director said;
“Trends and developments in the event and exhibition industry point to increasing demand for venues that can host shows for extended periods of time. Touring exhibitions are increasing in popularity, with a large number of successful events - like “Bodies The Exhibition” and other similar shows - travelling throughout the US, the UK and the rest of the world. This presents an exciting and profitable opportunity for us – one that we’re ready to capitalise on with the creation of the new space.”
The Museum Hall will continue to host new events, exhibitions, showcases and displays throughout the year, each lasting between two and six months.
