Over 10,000 dance enthusiasts packed out Olympia Two as Move It! Dance London was launched on April 21-23. As Britain's only consumer exhibition dedicated to dance, the show was launched at a time when dance has never been more popular and Olympia Two provided the ideal venue to kick-start the event. The show was such a success it will move into the larger National Hall when it returns to Olympia next year.
The ground floor of Olympia Two hosted classrooms and studios with dance experts teaching all forms of dance from ballet to ballroom, jazz to hip hop, and African to Latin. On Level One over 1,500 performers took to the purpose-built main stage and 100 exhibitors showcased products and services dedicated to dance.
As part of one of the countries leading venues, Olympia Two provides launch shows with an enviable West London location, easy transport links and a dedicated customer services team. The variety of levels and flexible space also allows for growth within the portfolio of halls Olympia offers.
Jonathan Scott, Managing Director Move It! Dance London, said; “Olympia Two was a fantastic choice of venue for our first show as it allowed our visitors to enjoy a complete dance experience all under one roof. We are looking forward to coming back to Olympia for an even bigger and better show next year.”
EC&O Venues Exhibition Sales Manager, Kara Bowen, said; “We are delighted Move-it! Dance London was launched at Olympia and that the show was such a success. There is an increasing trend towards more experiential events this show was a fantastic example how well Olympia is suited for such events. We are looking forward welcoming the Move It back to the National Hall in 2007”.
