EC&O Venues is growing into a top venue for the fashion and style world with an increasing number of leading organisers and brands choosing Earls Court and Olympia to showcase their events. Graduate Fashion Week sponsored by River Island, Toni and Guy Business Awards and the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards have all held their events at the West London venues during the past eight months.
Toni and Guy held their business awards back in October at Olympia, an event that is attended by over 3,000 hairdressers from across the UK. Popular songstress Jamelia made an appearance on stage to perform some of her hits and the action-packed event culminated with some stunning avant-garde presentations from Toni & Guy’s global artistic team. The L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards is another leading event within the hairdressing industry that attracts over 700 entrants from around the UK and took place in Earls Court Two at the beginning of June.
June also saw Graduate Fashion Week take up residence in Earls Court Two, it featured 48 of the top fashion and textile universities and housed two fantastic theatres hosting over 23 catwalk shows over the four days. The show also featured a glitzy gala event on the Wednesday evening, attended by VIPS and experts from the cream of the fashion world such as supermodel Claudia Schiffer (one of the gala judges), model-of-the-moment Agnes Deyn and budding fashionista Pixie Geldof.
Penny Hanson, Graduate Fashion Week Event Organiser comments:
“We were very happy with the move to Earls Court 2 this year and we definitely think that the transition from Battersea Park has been very smooth and successful. Being at Earls Court Two meant the access for visitors to the exhibition was easier and consequently the number of visitors increased which created a great atmosphere. The increase in space also meant we could be more creative with the exhibition which created a great buzz around the exhibitors' stands and in the college and gala shows.
Graduate Fashion Week appreciates the great help and support they have had from Earls Court and we very much look forward to building on this relationship over the coming years and seeing Graduate Fashion Week go from strength to strength in its new home.”
Anna Golden, Event Sales Director, EC&O Venues added:
“It’s great that we’re working with top brands within the fashion and style industry and that they have chosen Earls Court and Olympia to host their events. At EC&O we pride ourselves on being able to transform any space into something very different for our organisers. The dressing and overall style are naturally very important for events such as the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards and Graduate Fashion Week and our venues offer a flexible, blank canvas for them to work with. Add to this the expert knowledge, experience and understanding of our event teams who always go out of their way to make things happen for organisers and ensure each event we host is a great success.”
