The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show comes to Olympia's Grand Hall from 14-17 March bringing the 'making' craze with it.
The
Spring Knitting and Stitching Show responds to the recent resurgence in all things craft, bringing together
products, tools and
tuition to Make It Yourself; make your own clothes, gifts or interiors...the possibilities are endless.
This exciting new show will tap into your creative side while providing
great ideas to help you save money and cut down on waste.
Over
180 companies will be selling all sorts of hard-to-find craft supplies and there will also be a huge choice of workshops to help you learn what to do with them. 'Making' is the essence of the show and you'll find inspiration everywhere, as well as
experts on hand to get you started.
Take a seat in the
Home Sweet Home 'living room', offering a range of interior projects to freshen up your house or flat. Make a Roman Blind, renovate some old furniture or pick up ideas for your baby's nursery. Or you can join the production line in the
Dressmaking Factory which offers quick lessons on all kinds of dressmaking techniques, from buttonholes to hems, seam finishing to zip insertion.
There will also be
daily fashion shows with a range of fashion and textiles modelled on the catwalk several times each day. Among the pieces shown will be entries from the
Fashion Competition for Schools and 6th Form Colleges. So, if you're aged between 16-21 and you're interested in fashion, this is a fabulous opportunity to express yourself and show what you're made of - both in terms of fahion design and sewing. Enter the competition at

If your real passion if knitting or crochet, there will be plenty for you too with many
contemporary and well-known knitting designers and authors popping along to the show. Learn how to knit one purl one; find some fresh project ideas, and buy supplies and patterns to create some unique pieces for the home, for your baby or for you.
